tool time!
I feel bombarded by tools! Firefox Extensions, Google Personalized Home, and Yahoo! Widgets. They all offer tools for weather, mail, music playlists, and more! Gah! I don't know which to use! Anyway... Just in case you haven't heard of these, I now leave the taxing decision up to you.
procrastination, questions, ambiance, snowboarding gear, design, camera
At this moment in time, instead of doing something productive like researching VoIP for my telecommunications class or... sleeping, I am perusing through blogs and ::gasp:: uploading pictures to MySpace.
I've been trying to put off researching for tCom for several weeks now. I checked out the books the week I got my topic (about mid January?), renewed them twice, and I still haven't really read them. Let's hope I get around to it later today. Week 10 is approaching.
Sometimes I find myself questioning whether or not I'm studying what I really want to study. Many days I'll find myself prefering to work on accounting hw over read about network architecture and protocols. But ssh! Everyone else thinks I'm set for life.
Ambiance^2 is coming up this Tuesday. If I get over my cowardliness, it'll be my first time reading a piece in front of a crowd > 10 people. Let's hope I read it with emotion... and not just that of nervousness.
Teh sister bought snowboarding gear (board, bindings, boots) today. I'm glad. She's been wanting some for a while. She spent just a little more than I did for this year's stuff. I think I might've messed up the screws of my bindings while trying to customize them. I still don't know when I can hit the mountain again.
I've been wanting to design something lately. Er... I know I do that all the time at work and for class, but I've been wanting to design something for me. I heart the LJ icons on my cousin's blog.
I want a new camera, too. I see the quality of some people's pictures, and it's like... wow. Look how green that grass is... literally.

Anyway... This post has been a bunch of randomness. I will end it with this: I can't wait for this year to be over.

filipinos in the media
American Reality TV Talent Contests:
Jasmine, Camile, Ryan, Melody, Jose, and Cheryl.
Wowowee Stampede:
CNN.
Leyte Mudslide:
ABC, LA Times, CNN.
State of Emergency:
CNN.
We sing and dance in the states while things fall apart at home. Which do people talk about more?
It would be great to build a successful business and then go to the Philippines to help the economy.

grr!
Who would sell a package of cell phone accessories that includes 2 items compatible for one phone and then another item that's not at all compatible with that phone?
People.
My fault for not reading the description carefully, though. But honestly, if you read
The bastard suckered me into getting 2 packages to save on shipping, too.
::sigh:: Buyer's remorse. Once again, you have hit me.

new phone + birthday fest
Yay! Our family's new phones came in the mail today! Nokia 6102. Yes, it's not exactly the PDA phone I wanted to get, but it's definitely better than my other phone. My very first camera phone (finally) is currently charging as we speak.
I didn't realize it, but I think I'm having a week-long birthday!

love and sex
Here's a little something I wrote during the API Theater Group meeting this week:
Love and sex
Love and sex
Everything is
Love and sex
When will we move onto the next
Level, next phase?
Will it be days,
Months, weeks
Until someone speaks
Not about how their knees grew weak
Or how long until they came
Or how they're losing their brain
From paranoia?
Is another boy or
A girl
Infiltrating my world,
Being where I should be,
Causing me misery?
Aren't there bigger issues
Than self-inflicted drama? Tissues
Should be used for colds
Not for cleaning up messes
Caused from undresses
Give up your body
Give your heart away
You might wonder
"What if things were different?" each day
I'm nearing the end of the page
And running out of time
Even though I'd rather not
Love and sex are on my mind
