music & shtuff

it's but one long day. good times, tho.

acoustic songs on playlist:
  • tiger [freakin'] lily by matchbook romance
  • narda by kamikazee
  • bakit pa ba? by jay-r
  • crazy by ray lamontagne
  • for all of my life by m.y.m.p
  • tell me where it hurts by m.y.m.p.
  • stop think by aliya parcs
i'm in a weird music stage right now, liking songs more for sound than for lyrical content.

if i were to be in a band, i'd just want to sing harmony, not so much be the soloist.

fufck.

break time

I've been so busy & tired lately. I finally got a break today (after teh Joe's Sushi & chilling) to just be at home not really doing much.

Quick recap:
  • First gig was fun! I gotta work on my performer face.
  • Delano was awesomeness. Sikaran!
  • Rooted Movement opening!
  • I've been eating out a lot...
  • yC concert! Fun times. Could've been better...
That's all I can think of ATM.

Oh yeah. I have something to take care of that I'd rather not have to deal with. Gaaaaaaah! What a killjoy.

Speaking of Joy, she finally came back from the Philippines! w00t!

I'm tired so I think I'm gonna knock out soon. Just wanted to say... enjoy your alone time.

Kinda Groovy + Randomity

While Demi was at my house today, she started singing the theme song for "California Dreams." It got stuck in my head so I decided to search You Tube and IMDb for stuff. I found the following:

Theme Song for Season 1

Theme Song for Season 2

Theme Song for Seasons 3-5

"Righty Tighty..."

Mark sings a song about kissing Lorena

Goo-Ga-Moo Guys

According to this, the asian chick from the show Samantha "Sam" Woo (yes, like Sam Woo BBQ)'s stage name is Jennie Kwan but her birth name was Jennifer Trinidad Fernando.

Now time for some random things:
  • I'm badly browned + sun burned but it was totally worth it.
  • My left big toe is bruised. I have no idea how.
  • RENT was awesome; now my thoughts are sung either to "Christmas bells are ringing" or in Alexi Darling's voice.
  • Teh sister is currently in Vegas & teh parentals are Vegas-ing next week.
  • Apparently, I give people the impression that I'm a goody two shoes. o.O

nothing

It bothers me how there is nothing in this world that is equally available to everyone. Money, class, race and/or gender have found a way to taint every single aspect of life.

There is always something that separates us.

562!!!

Hitachi is teh awesome. The ppl are great. I will have to break out of my shell soon.

Right now I'm working at the client (Raytheon) site in Long Beach.

Since I was in the area, I went to the Jamba Juice by the Lakewood Mall and tried the Mega Mango... Let it be known: Mango-a-go-go > Mega Mango. Period.

I also drove by AUS (my elementary school which, btw, has the best site I've seen it have ever right now; how cute, they use google calendar!). It pretty much looks the same except they painted more things blue. The handball wall is still there and the ooold announcement sign is there.

I also passed by my old house. I wish I could've stayed in front for a while but the owners were chilling outside on the driveway on white plastic chairs that looked like our white plastic chairs. The tree on the left side of the house (if you're facing it) was trimmed to look like a 'shroom. I wonder what my old room looks like...

On a side note, it's weird how baselines shift. I was happy w/ our house on Louise but now that we have our house in Riverside, my sister and I are reluctant to move to a house bigger than the former but smaller than the latter. Btw, yes, our house is back on the market.

So I had dinner at teh grandparentals: brown rice & vegetables with tiny bits of chicken and chunks of tofu (I didn't eat the tofu, though, of course). It was a bit sad... I was talking to my lola and she asked if the food was okay. She said she couldn't cook more meat because she can't stand up for long periods of time anymore... T= That's a major kawawa-face... I'm glad I'm here, though. Time spent with teh relatives that I probably should've spent with them in 2003. But anyway...

I am leeching off of HBC realty's wifi at the moment so I would like to take a moment to thank them: Thank you.

Btw, it's a bit funny to me how people comment on my lack of enthusiasm. My coworker showed me a picture of her cat (a.k.a. the "cutest cat ever"). I'm not really a fan of cats, but the cat was kinda cute so I said, "Aww." I forgot what she said in response to that but something about my lack of enthusiasm. I thought I was showing some but I guess not compared to the "OMG! HE IS THE CUTEST THING EVER!" she was probably expecting.

I'm so not vocal.

And another thing... on my Dell lappie the first button on the bottom left is the Ctrl key then the Fn (function) key; on teh Hitachi IBM ThinkPad, it's the other way around. It toooootally slows me down at work. And the keyboard's much bigger, as well. Don't take teh lappies away from me, tho, pls. kthxbye.
