ctrl + z: friend or foe?
reading through my past blogs and looking back at recent happenings, i realized how much "undo" is my friend. being able to fix mistakes, return merchandise, and say "just kidding!" is awesome.
it's also a bit detrimental. it's habit forming, really. the comfort of knowing that if you screw up, you can just undo it later really clouds your judgment.
remedies? researching beforehand, thinking 2x before things are said, not doing anything.
i hope i rid myself of this disease.

pulling the plug
So I was sitting on my bed and working on my laptop. I wanted to sit further back so I pulled my laptop along with me and the next things I hear and see are its power down and a black screen.
Dammit. Unplugged.
I knew the power cord was long enough to reach where I was pulling it, but when I went to plug it back in, I noticed that the cord was tangled around the AC adapter.
Figures.
The potential to go far was there, but the cord was preventing itself from getting to where it had to be.
A stretch? Maybe. But my affinity with my power cord right now... uncanny.
Let's hope I don't prevent myself from going far enough to power ITC-X, the annual fund, ALD, SPORTSFEST, relationships, a possible internship, and, oh yeah, classes.

we come crashing down...
so i decided to purchase betterinblue.net and erinmanalo.com from 1&1 web hosting cuz i saw their ads in pc mag. tried it out for a few days.
right now, i'm in the process of cancellation.
the server response time sucked. the changes i would make wouldn't take effect until half an hour later. i don't have the time to deal with that much of a lag.
i hope i get partially refunded. supposedly there's a 90 day money back guarantee, but the terms & conditions are confusing...
i'm also not sure how long it'll take for the domain names to become available again.
oh well.

personal website update
i was one step away from buying betterinblue.net at 1and1.com for only $5/month. i was on the last step and they freakin' declined my card! blah. it works on most sites but every once in a while i run into a problem...
boogers.
boogers.
layout
...i need a new layout.
::sigh:: this was supposed to be a temporary blog, an interim until i got my own domain name. well, i still don't have a domain name, so i guess that's why i'm still using this.
...i can pay $10/mo. for netflix, so why can't i spend the extra $ for a domain name + host?
maybe one of the mondays i have off of school i can design a new layout if not redesign a whole new website.
curses to whoever took betterinblue.com!

shopping + chill songs
I'm an effin' shopaholic.
I'm not sure which smiley should go after that statement. (= or T=
I went to the mall today to return some boots (I found my Burton boots @ zumies for $20 cheaper so I bought them there and I was gonna return the ones I got from Sport Chalet, but then I remembered Sport Chalet's policy that they'll let you exchange boots within one year of purchase; that policy's worth more than the $20 I'd save from zumies) so I walked into the mall with one bag and left with...
three.
D'oh!
I bought some stuff at ae, not cuz I absolutely loved the stuff there but cuz I had a $10 off when you spend $50 card. I bought some jeans (well, I do heart their jeans) and some stuff that was on sale. I ended up spending almost $60.
Across the mall was Bath and Body Works. Did I need lotion or soap? Nope. But their signs lured me in: 5 for $10. I bought a bunch of their foaming soap and some lil travel sized thingies. 8 items for almost $20. (Too bad they didn't have that sale when I was buying Christmas gifts...)
I was ready to head back to my car, happy that I didn't spend more than $100, but on the way to the parking structure I saw that Express had a sale, too. Gah! Yes. I bought more clothes, but now I have Editor Pants! Did I need another pair of black pants? Eh... not really. But this is the only pair that's this exact shade with pockets and belt loops. d= I got them cuz I thought they were $20 because that's what the sign on the rack where I got them from said, but they were misplaced. They were really $30, but that's not toooo bad considering the original price is $70. Yup. $70. So I will not look at this like I spent $30 on pants, but that I saved $40 on pants! I also bought a dark grey zip up sweater. Rather comfy, if I may say so. $10 (original price: $40).
All in all, I spent about $60 + $20 + $40 = $120. Hmmn... $120 for 14 items? Yay for savings, boo for the fact that I didn't need to buy any of it...
On the up side, I heart the new playlist I made for my iPizzle. The title? "chill songs." The songs? Songs that just make you feel "chill." Yeah... that doesn't quite describe much but here's some of the songs:
Maybe now obnoxious little teenagers in xB's won't fling chocolate at my car because I high beamed them for a second after they cut me off.

more gear
my board came in! it's not exactly like the picture i saw of it on the internet, tho, cuz the bottom is white, not black (the reed is black and "ride" is blue).
i want this:

dunno how much will fit in there, though. i should see it in person before i buy it. it's a bit pricey, too.
i bought this @ blauer's on monday:

anon subrosa goggles by burton. actually, mine has a black band instead of white and it doesn't say anon on the lens.
my sister wants this:
