every once in a while, my uncle fwds e-mails to me. here's an extract from one i received today that i thought i'd share.

i should name it "adam"

there it is! the new member of the manalo family. once again, our family is a family of toyotas: camry, avalon, tacoma, and now, corolla. after a bit of communication drama, my parents and i took her/him home. the drive pwns that of the civic's. not as much compartment space. a bit weird. this is too little, my sister's camry's too big, the civic was just right.
yes, my friends, a different car every week. first week of nov: civic; 2nd: avalon; 3rd: camry; 4th: corolla if my mom will let me drive it.
anyway. enough of this pointless blog.

ambiance was last night. what i saw of it was pretty good. it inspired me to think of non-love poetry (since pretty much every topic was about relationships other than ethan's carnivore condemnation). i came up w/ something in my head but i didn't write it down... maybe i'll share something next quarter.

shopping!!!

so after a bit of volleyball w/ barkada, i went down to the galleria at tyler to buy a bit of business attire for my scholar/donor luncheon @ kellogg west tmw.
i got these shoes:

well, actually, the ones pictured are steve madden glorify for $69.95. i bought classified brand imitations for < $25. heheheh.

i also picked up a few things from forever 21: pinstriped woven jacket, black capri pants, and charcoal pants.

i still need to buy: boots, a dressy black belt, brown shoes, more tops!

sometimes... i'm such a girl.

car troubles

The civic has been quite problematic recently. In the past 3 months:

• the check engine light has gone off twice (both times it was taken to the dealers...)
• my right windshield squirter wasn't squirting (it's still a bit clogged)
• someone dented my car
• my windshield had to be replaced (actually, i think it was more than 3 mo)
  
• my accelerator stopped responding (or the engine died or something) twice (once when i was almost home, another time on the 71)

Other car issues:

• the AC/fan/heater doesn't send air to the feet
• at high speeds it sounds like a window's still open
• it shakes when you brake sometimes...

If we can't fix whatever made my car stop out of nowhere, I might get a new car. O= Nothing fancy, though. I actually hope they fix my car... I want to avoid another expense as much as possible. But if we happen to sell it... I hope potential buyers don't read this blog. d=
